I founded ABT Legal on the principle that immigration should be accessible to all. Unfortunately, the current system is overly complex, stressful, and getting the help you need is too expensive. My mission is to change that for as many people as possible, starting with you. Competitor’s Approach

At many large immigration firms, your first consultation will be with an immigration consultant or lawyer, however, once you hire them, it is likely to be your last one.

Once you pay your deposit, your case becomes just another file number in their assembly line and gets passed on to their legal assistants to work on. This “bait and switch” technique is very profitable for them, however, you’re not getting the level of service you thought you paid for. You will be instructed to communicate via email to ensure everything is “in writing”, but it’s really because you’re unknowingly communicating with their legal assistants instead of the actual consultant you thought you were working with.

Many firms will even charge billable hours for “extras” you would assume to be included in your fee, such as phone calls or communicating with IRCC.

Unfortunately. these practices are common with large immigration firms so you need to do your due diligence to ensure you’re not treated this way.

You pay one flat fee and not a penny more. Once a client, you get unlimited meetings with me where you can ask as many questions as you’d like. You can communicate with me via email, phone, video chat, WhatsApp, and through in-person meetings. There’s also no need to worry about paying for “extras” because all services that are required to complete your case are included in your fee. No billable hours here.

Some might think that hiring a large firm and paying more in fees will guarantee success. This is simply not true as no one can guarantee the success of your application. The best applications are those crafted by immigration consultants that spend the time and energy to get to know all about you and your personal circumstances. Unfortunately, this is harder for large firms to do since they have higher overhead costs and will limit their hours or services to fit into a budget.
